Chairing UCRU this year, Denver Della-Vedova hopes to further previous work advocating for students on a federal level. Uniting student unions across Canada to amplify the voices of those at U15 schools is one of his several priorities for UCRU this year.

Denver graduated from McMaster in 2021 with a B. Sc. from the Life Sciences program with minors in Psychology and Environmental Science. Growing up in the small town of Longford Mills, Ontario he has developed passions for nature, music and people. He currently is the President at the McMaster Students Union where he oversees to strategic priorities of the organization. 

Meet Saad Shoaib! Saad is UCRU's Vice-Chair this year!

Saad is also the current Vice-President, External Affairs of the AMS of UBC and a student at the University of British Columbia double majoring in Political Science and History. He enjoys hanging out with friends, cooking his favourite dishes, and advocating for students.

At the AMS of UBC, Saad's lobbying efforts include increased international student support, sexual violence prevention initiatives, and improvements to student financial aid programs.

Eunice Oladejo is the Vice President of External Affairs at Western University's Students Council. She recently graduated with an Honours BA from Western University where she specialized in Political Science with a minor in Transitional Justice & Post-Conflict Reconstruction. Eunice is particularly passionate about eradicating barriers that disproportionately disadvantage Black students, Indigenous students, and many students of colour and their access to post-secondary education.

Hi! My name is Steph, and I'm the Vice President, Education of the Waterloo Undergraduate Student Association (WUSA)! In my role, I work to bring awareness and inform government policy on issues impacting post-secondary students. In additional to overseeing all of WUSA's advocacy on a municipal, provincial and federal-level, I also am responsible for institutional advocacy as it relates to academics and co-op. At UWaterloo, I'm pursing a Bachelor of Knowledge Integration, focusing mainly on socio-ecological systems and the social dimensions of science and tech.

My name is Tasnim Jaisee (she/her), I am studying Political Studies and Women's and Gender Studies at the University of Saskatchewan. I am the President of the University of Saskatchewan Students' Union (USSU). My responsibilities include tuition advocacy and lobbying for a broad range of issues concerning post-secondary students at multiple governmental levels. As a woman of colour with a disability, I recognize the importance of establishing intersectional spaces to uplift allyship and marginalized voices in both leadership and advocacy.

Hi! My name is Jacob Marinelli (He/Him) and I am the Commissioner of External Affairs at Queen's AMS. I just graduated from my Life Sciences degree with a specialization in Biomedical Sciences.

Armaan Singh is the Advocacy Commissioner at the University of Ottawa Students' Union (SÉUO-UOSU). Armaan is entering his third year as he pursues his undergrad in BSocSc honours in Political Science, minor in History, French immersion.
